Community Hall

The Dangar Island Community Hall is an ideal venue for social functions, playgroups, clubs, classes, meetings, conferences, seminars, and exhibitions.

The day to day running of the Community Hall is coordinated by the Dangar Island Hall Committee made up of volunteers from the island.

To book the hall contact Vanessa on 0414 317 260 or 9985 7488. Conditions of Hire must be read before booking the Hall. Take particular note of the condition regarding fire and cooking. Conditions of Hire can be accessed here.

The booking form for 'occasional hire' (i.e. a one-off booking) can be accessed here, and the form for 'regular hire' (i.e. a recurring booking) can be accessed here.

There are additional conditions and forms for 'High Risk' functions and functions where Food is being prepared. High risk functions are considered to include the following: 16th – 21st birthday parties, organised youth events, large crowd events and live music events. Functions are determined on an individual basis.
Hirers for these functions will need to read and complete these documents in addition to reading the usual conditions of hire and completing the usual hire form.

You should contact Vanessa to confirm the Hall is available on the date(s)/time(s) you would like and to make sure you complete the right form before filling out the paperwork.

A Hirers checklist before leaving the venue must be completed and returned with the key. The checklist can be accessed here.

Hirers are requested to clean the hall after use so that it is clean for the next hirer. The Hall Committee cannot ensure that dishcloths or tea towels are always clean and available for hirers, so please supply your own.

Fees and charges are set annually by Council and are reviewed each year effective 1 July.
